I am uniquely qualified to offer an evidence-based, holistic approach to mental health and trauma therapy by creating a fusion with Psychotherapy, Alternative Medicine, Nutrition and the Medical Model. All of our brains and bodies manifest stress, trauma, physical and emotional pain differently. Humans create ways to cope and the outcomes vary. I base my theoretical philosophy in the belief that we all have the power to heal.

Our brains have a tremendous capacity for protecting us from harm. The basis for the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model is that maladaptively stored memories of trauma create obstacles to rational processing. EMDR is utilized to eliminate barriers and empower complete processing of the memory, leading to a reduction in trauma symptoms.

The ability to address the crossover between medical, nutritional, and psychological symptoms is an uncommon benefit. The practice offers a wide variety of alternative, holistic, resources to create a wrap-around experience for our clients. We will provide your mind and body with the interventions you desire to heal.

Knitters come together to share the joy and calm created by community knitting offered by two licensed therapists. Bring a project to work on. Food and beverages to share are always welcome, but not required. Periodically, we will be joined by local knitters providing help and selling supplies. Sliding scale fee, $5-$25.
