I am a WV native and have been working with children/adolescents/adults for over 17 years. Helping others is my passion. I am an advocate for the families receiving my services. I am a graduate of West Virginia State University with a B.A. in Psychology and Liberty University with an M.A. Professional Counseling. I am trained in EMDR therapy, which is a model of therapy used to treat trauma and other disorders. I am currently taking courses in American Sign Language and hope to eventually offer services to the deaf community. The longest journey begins with a single step and I am grateful to walk that path with you. It can be frightening and intimidating to begin the process of therapy; however, that experience can help you to make the changes that lead to a happier and more fulfilled life. I work collaboratively with you and your child/adolescent/family to develop a plan together on the second session, get a new skill each week, and see progress within 8 sessions. With 28 of years experience with children, adolescents and adults recovering from trauma,grief, emotional or behavioral challenges with educational or work-related issues in schools, group homes, rural health care clinics and military facilities.
