I strive to understand people in all of their complexity. My goal in therapy is to see through a client’s lens as much as possible, and then work with them to find positive changes they can make in their lives. Drawing heavily from the evidence-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy model (ACT), I help clients to be more mindful of the interface between their internal and external experiences. When we become more aware of the patterns in our thoughts, emotions, and actions, we can be intentional about releasing what is not helpful to us.
I've had the opportunity to work with and learn from diverse populations, including the LGBTQ+ community, and more specifically transgender and gender diverse youth and adults. I have experience treating a variety of mood disorders, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also enjoy helping people who are navigating life transitions.
With my inclusive and affirming approach to therapy, I help adolescents, young adults, and their families to explore, expand, and embrace their strengths, finding those pieces of themselves that help them live their lives to the fullest. I look forward to working with you!
