Perinatal and postpartum mental health (including pre-conception, fertility, pregnancy, loss, birth, traumatic birth and the transition into parenthood) are my particular passions. It takes courage to acknowledge that our old ways of doing things are no longer serving us, this particularly peaks in the childbearing years (for a variety of reasons). Sometimes we feel that change is needed but we don't know where to start. I work from a foundational belief that ALL of us are capable of taking the steps necessary to actualize our full potential - the brilliance of who we truly are - and that sometimes old patterns get in the way.
Through my work, I aim to help increase awareness and curiosity in order to explore the factors that may be contributing to ongoing traumatic responses, anxiety, depression, maladaptive coping or any other uncomfortable symptoms.
I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches in my work depending on each individual’s needs and have training in Contemplative Psychotherapy which is mindfulness based, EMDR Therapy and through Postpartum Support International. I enjoy working with individuals, couples and families.
