I strive to empower the people that I work with. I believe that the people that I work with are more of an expert on their own lives and experiences than anyone else is. My aim is to provide a space for people's unique strengths and gifts to emerge. I have extensive experience in working with diverse individuals, relationships, and families, and I strive to ensure that everyone feels heard and validated.
I specialize in working with families, couples, and individuals, especially (but certainly not limited to) LGBTQ+ couples and families. I see many people struggling against the effects of anxiety on their lives, as well as families learning to navigate the challenges of having a loved one who is grappling with issues of executive functioning (ADHD, etc.).
I understand that the decision to seek therapy is typically not one that someone arrives at easily. This usually comes after a period of struggling and suffering in someone's life--sometimes several weeks and sometimes for decades. I tailor the way I work with people to fit their uniqueness and their life experiences.
