With a humanistic/person-centered approach, I strive to understand intersecting identities and how they relate to individuals, couples, and families and their view of the world. I have worked with various clients and specialize in an empathetic, compassionate, judgment-free environment that includes work in addictions, depression/anxiety, life transitions, trauma, PTSD, grief/loss, co-dependency, and parenting concerns. I also work with individuals in marginalized/multicultural communities dealing with varying identity concerns. I am open and willing to use various evidence-based practices to meet the needs of the clients.
I hold an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Kentucky University and an M.B.A., with a concentration in Leadership from Sullivan University. My passion is working with clients to assist and prepare them for a successful future.
One of my favorite quotes is from Daisaku Ikeda, "When we change, the world changes. The key to all changes is in our inner transformation-a change of our hearts and minds. This is human revolution. We all have the power to change. When we realize this truth, we can bring forth that power anywhere, anytime, and in any situation."
