I provide cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for adults, children, and adolescents with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders (social anxiety, phobias, generalized anxiety, and separation anxiety), tic disorders, Tourette Syndrome (TS), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), behavioral difficulties, rage attacks, depressive disorders, and trichotillomania (and other body-focused repetitive behavior disorders). Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) focuses on ways that emotions, thoughts, and actions can contribute to problems. You will learn how to manage emotional and life stress by practicing skills for making optimal decisions, altering counter-productive thinking, increasing motivation, handling difficult emotions, solving problems, and planning effective actions.
In addition to my private practice work, I am the Director of the Tourette Syndrome Specialty Programs at Rutgers University. Within this role, I supervise and train future psychologists to become experts in CBT for tics, and the above-listed difficulties.
