My approach to therapy is based on the idea that each person has gifts, passions and skills that can be tapped into to guide them toward an authentic, value-based life. My goal is to partner with you to provide a safe, non-judgmental space that allows for reflection, healing from past emotional wounds, and growth by establishing new coping skills to replace old patterns of thinking and behaving. I have extensive training in trauma and EMDR through the International Association (EMDRIA) as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

My goal as a therapist is to help guide people of all ages through their current life experiences. I utilize a strength-based approach, designed to bring my client's strengths to the forefront while encouraging development and processing the more difficult experiences and feelings impacting them. I aim to decrease the discomfort my client feels while striving to improve long term coping skills. I find success utilizing a trauma informed, relational approach. I work exceptionally well with those suffering from Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, maladaptive behaviors, and those who don’t really know what’s wrong, but want to figure it out.

I have over 21 years of experience providing psychotherapy, as well as considerable experience prior to obtaining my Masters.

Throughout my clinical experience, I've developed a real passion for working with women and fellow therapists. I received my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Michigan University, and bachelor's in Psychology with a minor in Communication at Oakland University. During my internship, I spent time at a women's shelter working with survivors of domestic abuse and interpersonal partner violence.
