We all need support in our lives and on our journeys, whether the journey is navigating a divorce emotionally intact, a sojourn through grief and loss of a loved one/job/identity/health, healing from complex trauma, or a journey of self actualization. I work with clients to assist them through a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting obstacles, career challenges, and communication problems. I also work with many people who have experienced physical, sexual, or emotional abuse, trauma, and survivors of suicide.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. My approach to counseling is informed by Client-Centered therapy (Rogerian), Internal Family Systems, CBT, ACT, and DBT. I will also use mindfulness and yogic traditions if I believe these will be useful and you desire to try something new. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.
I also believe that each one of us has the tools within ourselves to heal and develop greater self-awareness to live fulfilling and joyful lives. Sometimes, we need more than a trusted friend or family member to join us on our journey; a guide to unearth and identify those tools and learn to use them. I look forward to working with you!
