Welcome to Ubuntu Wellness. I am so happy you are here! This is a space to heal, celebrate who you are, and discover where you would like to go. However, we live in a world that sometimes doesn’t "see you" – something that can wear on the mind and the spirit. Ubuntu Wellness is a space for people to come together within an environment where your comfort is paramount as we work together to explore personal and collective issues and what it means to move beyond trauma and anxiety “stuck points” in order to live fully.

Sometimes things happen, and we are forced to deal with things we never thought we could. At my core I identify as a trauma therapist, my goal for my clients is to find the root of what prevents us from living and being our most authentic selves. When we survive hardship our body holds on to tools that got us through even if they no longer serve us. Sometimes they are perfect for the situation, other times they can make things worse. Together we will slow things down enough to find what works best for you and change reactions to responses.

Navigating mental health can be a tough journey, especially when societal norms or personal beliefs deem it as a taboo subject. In my practice, I specialize in supporting adults and teens who come from diverse cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identities. I work with individuals facing trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My goal is to provide a safe, judgement-free space for individuals to explore their struggles. Additionally, I offer support for women experiencing postpartum anxiety, depression, and infertility.

I am passionate about helping others navigating their journey to overall wellness by utilizing a person-centered, holistic approach to therapy. Together with clients, I hope to co-create a healthful path to healing with compassion and empowerment. I focus on re-centering my clients with their wants and needs, and developing a healthier relationship with the self. My approach in therapy is warm, honest, and direct. I don’t believe in staying in therapy forever and I will hold your intention with you as we focus each session on moving towards what you most want. I believe in getting to the healing, finding the way through and living life how you most want to. I will help you listen deeply and accurately to yourself and make the choices that are truest for you. I support clients with all types of issues and specialize in individual trauma resolution (PTSD and C-PTSD), attachment healing and relationships, life transitions, grief/loss, anxiety/depression. We help individuals learn new tools, process life’s challenges, and work to meet your therapeutic goals in a safe and brave space through therapy! Life is hard and sometimes we just need a sounding board or some new tools for our tool belt (that we will actually use). I am a dually licensed therapist in both California and Colorado. I specialize in helping clients greatly improve their relationships, whether that be with family, a romantic partner, colleagues or friends. I work with adolescents (10 years old to 12 years old), teens, adults, and couples.

I'm here to help women through all seasons of their lives. I'm passionate about holding space for you if you've had or are thinking of having an abortion, are struggling with infertility, have experienced pregnancy loss, need help prenatally, are struggling postpartum, need someone to talk to about career, relationships, or parenting, and if you need space for the transition through menopause. No matter where you are in your journey, I'm here to walk with you.
