Hello, I’m Sindia Slack, Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I provide individual and family therapy in both English and Spanish. My approach is collaborative, client-centered, culturally sensitive, systems and strength based.At my core I aim to serve individuals and families, however, being a mother myself I am dedicated to serving the women either transitioning into motherhood or the seasoned mommas who need some extra help. I sought out a specialty in perinatal mental health and am trained to work with mother’s experiencing grief, depression, stress or anxiety throughout the perinatal and postpartum period.
My passion for helping others developed from recognizing the lack of resources in my own community and the stigma around mental health that plagues the Latnix community. Being a first-generation child of immigrant parents, I noticed the isolating pressures of navigating two worlds, often led to undiagnosed and untreated mental health problems.
