As a parent or guardian, you may have concerns about your child’s school performance, learning difficulties, and attention or hyperactivity. Dr. Haupenthal wants to help your child succeed academically and emotionally to the best of his/her abilities. Dr. Haupenthal is bilingual, English/Spanish and provides child, adolescent, and college student testing including concerns with ADHD, intellectual disability, autism, learning and language difficulties, behavior issues at home and/or school, low academic performance, anxiety, and depression. Dr. Haupenthal also provides IQ testing for school entrance and psychotherapy services.
Assessment includes measures of intelligence, academic ability, attention, concentration, sensorimotor functioning, executive functioning, language, learning, memory, and social/emotional functioning. After the conclusion of testing and report writing, a feedback session will be provided to the parent or guardian and child separately to discuss the findings.
Assessment will identify areas of weakness and strength and provide a diagnosis and recommendations to help the child/adolescent succeed at school and at home. Recommendations are tailored to address the specific concerns of the child/adolescent based on his/her profile. For instance, recommendations may help the child to receive classroom accommodations.
