I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York and specialize in working with the adult population. My belief is that self-healing encompasses the mind and body and that the clients are the experts in their journey. While therapy is a growth and self-discovery process, in my sessions I promote behavioral transformation by encouraging a positive outlook and the adoption of new attitudes and reactions. As your therapist, while I use an eclectic approach, my main emphasis is on the cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavior, solution-focused, and person-centered modalities. In addition, I have an extensive background in working with the Hispanic population and have a great understanding of my clients' culture and background.
