The basis of my practice is rooted in the promise of hope. I believe that we are all capable of moving toward healthier versions of ourselves that can result in more functional emotional responses, deeper, more satisfying relationships, and redeemed living. My goal is to be a helper that provides a safe place to begin to move toward positive change. I partner well with individuals and couples who are tired of dealing with dysfunction and are motivated to work toward being a better version of themselves.

It is my honor to help individuals from all walks of life process challenges and move towards healing. I am passionate about providing a safe space for children, teens, and adults to feel seen and heard as they share their stories through counseling. In individual therapy, I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach to address challenges such as anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, behavioral concerns, chronic pain, trauma, adoption issues, attachment problems, and relational strains.

It is an honor to sit with others in their stories, and I seek to create an open and safe place for clients to process the challenges in their lives. My basic approach to counseling is client-centered, and I use techniques from play therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and cognitive based theories. I have especially enjoyed working with children, new mothers, older women, couples and families. Grief, transitions, spiritual growth, and church hurt are also areas of special interest. I also have experience with adolescents, anxiety, depression, and boundary identification.

I have a Masters of Christian Counseling degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and a Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR. I work with individuals and couples as they seek to connect with their own purpose and meaning as well as with others. Navigating the challenges of life, relationships and faith is no easy task. Every person comes to counseling for reasons that are unique and it is a privilege to work with those striving to blaze a new path forward.
