About
I am a licensed counselor and have been in the mental health field since 2002 & started my practice in 2007. My approach stems from a cognitive-behavioral model which dictates that a client is able to re-learn automatic belief systems as well as behavior patterns. For example, you can change your thinking about a situation, which can in turn change your feelings and behavior. I facilitate each counseling session from a person-centered approach, which considers the client to be the most important aspect of the counseling process. The choice to make changes is yours, however, it takes work!
A few specialties include: Depression, Anxiety, and Life transitions. **I am currently accepting new clients that are Blue Cross or Private Payment. I am doing solely telehealth appointments until further notice.
I stem primarily from a Cognitive Behavioral Approach, however, I adapt quickly to the style that is needed by each individual client. Some prefer a more directive approach while others prefer to take more initiative. I develop a positive rapport with clients easily which allows clients to explore feelings without fear of judgment.
