I am an LCSW, with eight plus years of experience. I specialize in individual and family therapy, with a particular passion for working with adolescents, transitional age individuals, and LGBT+ community. My remote practice offers a range of specialized approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), substance use treatment, and general mental health support.
In individual therapy, I use EMDR for trauma, DBT for emotional regulation and relationship challenges, and CBT for various mental health issues. I have a special affinity for working with adolescents and those navigating transitional stages of life. My family therapy sessions focus on improved communication, conflict resolution, and stronger family bonds.
My practice, "Siga la Marcha," takes its name from my great uncle, General Serafín Sánchez, a Cuban war hero who uttered the last words "Siga la Marcha" (follow the march) before his death in the Cuban War of Independence. This phrase reflects my dedication to guiding clients on their healing and empowerment journeys, emphasizing resilience and progress.
