I approach therapy sessions as a collaborative venture. I might have therapeutic tools and insights, but you are the expert on your life and what works for you. Together we can examine where you need additional support and identify what tools you've been using that work well for you! My goal is to give clients a warm, welcoming, and comfortable space to explore difficult emotions and celebrate the joys that are happening in between sessions.
I tend to draw heavily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in which we identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts. This can be especially helpful in combatting anxiety or when having difficulties with decision-making. I also love working with clients to identify their core values in an effort to give some guidance in the midst of uncertainty.
