I am Dr. Shontia Morris, a Licensed Professional Counselor authorized in Mississippi with over 18 years of experience as a therapist. My approach to therapy involves connecting with my clients, providing a safe and confidential space, actively listening to concerns, and collaborating with them to develop goals and strategies to address issues while maintaining ethical boundaries. My focus areas of practice include: anxiety disorders, depression, relationship issues, stress management, parenting issues, and trauma-focused therapy.
I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, divorce/separation, and career challenges. I’ve also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My therapy style is warm, positive, and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I don't believe in stigmatizing labels.
