Hello, I'm Shonna Edwards, owner of Lichen Counseling. I believe healing is both sacred and cyclical, much like the rhythms of nature. My approach to therapy is rooted in a deep connection that meets you where you are. In our work, your truth is witnessed, your wounds are held with care, and your innate wisdom guides the work. With a trauma-focused and person-centered approach, I support you in reclaiming your voice, power, and sense of belonging, guiding you back to the light that has always been yours.
I guide individuals through cycles of trauma, challenging life changes, and addiction. These experiences often serve as uncomfortable thresholds, inviting you into a new relationship with yourself. I offer you a space to meet you where you are, as we create a wellness plan that works for you with talk therapy, brainspotting, mindfulness, and EMDR.
You’ve spent so much of your life holding space for others, now it’s time to practice holding space for yourself.
