I work solely with clients who are 25 years old and above. Being engaged in individual counseling is an opportunity to receive support and experience growth during challenging times of life. Counseling allows individuals to explore their feelings, beliefs, and behaviors, to address concerns that lead to mental health problems. You will work with me in a safe, caring and confidential environment. The focus of our work could be on specific goals or long-standing concerns such as, family of origin issues or past-unsolved trauma. The ultimate goal is to help you heal, grow, and re-engage in a productive, personally fulfilling life.
I am especially invested in the well being of BIPOC individuals. With the use of culturally sensitive therapy, I hope to understand your background, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and other factors that make you unique. I am a generalist and an EMDR-trained therapist with extensive experience in trauma and grief work.
As a person of color with other identities, I value the importance of discussing intersectionality of identities in our work together, while also recognizing the impact of oppression and those identities. If you are unsure that I am the right therapist for you, I encourage you to reach out and schedule a free phone consultation to determine fit.
