Therapy sessions are geared toward finding positive, hopeful, strength based and lasting answers. I pay careful attention to personal and family history as part of an effort to identify and better define the most useful solution. My approach is systemic and interactive and my role as a therapist is to facilitate the idea that the future can be better than the present for everyone who is wrestling with problems.
My clients are individuals and families who have come to understand that they need help to overcome issues that impact their ability to function in a healthy and well balanced manner and to make better choices.
Many of my clients are cross cultural couples who believed that love would be enough to handle the gap created by different upbringing, language, and frame of reference, only to find that these differences are in the way of a healthy marital relationship. There are tools we can learn to overcome these gaps and develop better communication habits.
