My name is Shirley Shen. My theoretical orientation is primarily based on the attachment model, believing that the most innate and important need as a human is that of secure attachment. Disruptions in attachments impact patterns of behaviors through the lifespan and play out either consciously or unconsciously in everyday relationships.
Therapy is a journey to self understanding and awareness. My approach to your journey is to help empower your to make decisions that help improve the quality and fulfillment of your life and decisions.
Please feel free to contact me. If you have reservations about therapy, we can briefly discuss your goals and concerns. Finding a good therapeutic fit is the first step.
