I believe that anyone can benefit from therapy, no matter how large or small the problems feel at the time. I enjoy working with different populations of clients and appreciate the diversity that each client brings to the therapeutic relationship. Treating the family, when possible, is often necessary to make long standing changes within the individual and family. Having a supportive and honest atmosphere is crucial for obtaining the best results from the therapeutic alliance and the interventions utilized in sessions. My goal is to assist clients in coping with life stressors in the best way possible.
I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist and have worked in the mental health field for over ten years with both children and adults. My specialty areas include anxiety disorders, behavioral disorders, and marital conflict.
Behavioral Modification and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, are my primary treatment modules, but I also utilize Structural and Strategic therapies to address conflicts within family dynamics.
