Children and adults have many stressors and concerns in their lives that may be difficult to talk about or share with close friends and family. Many having the fear of being judged hesitate sharing their true fears and anxieties and small children may not even have the words to properly describe what they are feeling. I provide a safe environment where people can come and talk about (through talk therapy, activity therapy, or play therapy) their experiences in their day to day lives and how it effects them. I further assist parents to build on their parenting skills and open the lines of communication.
I have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Child-Centered Play therapy, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). All of these treatment modalities have been proven to assist people in overcoming different obstacles within their lives, not just in the present but the future as well.
