My website
I am a bilingual (Spanish) therapist who specializes in working with children and families. I offer both in-office and in-home counseling because I recognize that many kids can feel more comfortable in their own home than in a therapist's office at the beginning of therapy. Considering the fact that I will only be involved with a family for a relatively short period of time, I use a family systems approach to therapy and I teach parents how to become therapeutic to their children so that they have the confidence to continue to help their kids when therapy ends.
I have specialized training in early childhood mental health issues including tantrums, defiance, anger, and anxiety and behavioral issue. I specialize in working with foster and adoptive parents who have kids with severe behavioral problems. I also work with kids who struggle with ADHD symptoms and emotional-regulation problems.
I have also been teaching parenting classes in Arizona over the past decade and have thought thousands of parents how to improve their relationship with their kids and how to help their kids improved their behaviors.
