It is an honor for me to have the opportunity to help others work through personal, relationship and other life issues by way of developing a strong therapeutic relationship. My primary goal in therapy is to establish and maintain a safe, trusting and accepting environment. I work from primarily ACT and DBT frameworks. Both of these therapies use Mindfulness strategies and other skills to "get you out of your head" and into living life to the fullest. Mental health and physical health are intimately intertwined. I often incorporate mind-body connection practices into treatment. Combining these techniques can elicit powerful change.
I have over 20 years of experience working with clients suffering from Trauma and PTSD, Borderline Personality D/O, OCD, Depression, Anxiety, Substance Abuse and other issues. As a Trauma Informed Therapist, safety, empowerment, choice and trust are my focus throughout the difficult yet rewarding treatment process.
My work is to provide an empathetic, compassionate, and trusting relationship in which my clients can heal and grow to create a satisfying life and maintain meaningful relationships. It can be a long road but you don't have to travel alone.
