Are you feeling stuck while others seem to skate through life? You're not as alone as you may think. Problems with living are part of being human — and therapy can help. I work with a diverse group of young and older adults. To each, I bring interest in — and respect for — their identity, culture, beliefs, practices and stage of life. Issues I help with include anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, relationships, sexuality, compulsions, grief and caregiving (see below for the caregivers support group I'm starting soon). However my experience is wide, and whatever issues you bring are welcome.
I see therapy as a process of exploration and discovery that can open you up to new and more expansive ways of understanding yourself, the world, and life's possibilities. My practice is rooted in psychodynamic therapy and trauma-focused therapy, including EMDR. I also bring in mindfulness and self-compassion. My approach is caring and collaborative.
In working together, we will invariably get into some serious stuff. (Your quality of life deserves to be taken seriously, doesn't it?)
