First responders, Veterans, and their families have a unique lifestyle. After a career in law enforcement and the military, it was clear that a more unique type of support was needed. Issues such as trauma, complex trauma, adverse childhood experiences, mental and/or physical abuse, substance misuse, addictions, suicidal ideations or attempts, moral injury, stress, traumatic brain injury/concussion, and anxiety are common.
Needs within this community can be a little different, and through assessments, we determine, together, the individual goals and work together to consider appropriate changes.
You'll find a supportive, understanding, non-judgemental, empathetic, and client focused therapist. Having experienced Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS) and growing through it into Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG), I've learned that PTS is not a lifetime sentence and recovery is possible. EMDR is offered to help guide you through traumas and negative self-beliefs.
