About
Put simply, I'd like to help you and/or your family member(s), feel less worried, less sad, and, in general, less distressed. With over 40 years of experience, I feel that I've been able to provide that to many hundreds of people with whom I've worked. Whether it's your child or teen who is suffering (I work with all manner of child and adolescent issues, including ADHD, academic underachievement, oppositional defiance, anxiety, depression and limitations in social skills) or whether it's you, your relationship or your family that is troubled, I have the experience to help resolve issues.
With substantial postdoctoral training, I use many modalities, including cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic and somatic. While I have a general practice, I also have expertise treating OCD, with both children and adults (I trained with the International OCD Foundation). And, as a certified sex therapist, I am able to help with problems with intimacy.
I find it exhilarating to help relieve my clients' distress. And just as I enjoy helping the people who work with me directly, I also enjoy helping others through the self-help books, for both children and adults, that I write. You can learn more about me through my website, www.sherryhenig.com.
