My focus is to help others improve their communication skills, become more independent, and learn to regulate their emotions while decreasing challenging behaviors. We can also focus on short-term needs such as nanny training, parent training, toilet training and school readiness. You may also consider working with us to become your child's therapist through www.parentledtherapies.com. At PLT, we provide training and professional guidance while your child receives consistent services. Note: BCBAs cannot diagnose. Please see your General Practitioner or Psychiatrist.
We incorporate Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) as a contemporary behavior-analytic approach. ACT helps address many anxiety-based diagnoses such as generalized anxiety, OCD, and ADHD. I will be providing all services directly. “My Way” protocols encourage clients to take time to build rapport, trust, and communication BEFORE implementing skills.
We will work together to help understand how to achieve and maintain positive behavior change at home and in schools. I will help you understand challenges related to ASD and comorbid diagnoses. ABA and ACT use intrinsic and extrinsic motivation to encourage individuals to commit to lasting personal changes that will improve their quality of life.
