Welcome to "We Talk Straight Counseling"! A place where incredible and sometimes surprising changes have happened. I have enjoyed helping to change the lives not only of my clients but also the lives of those they love for the past 29 years. It takes courage to be able to recognize that a change needs to be made and to be able to reach out for help. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, codependency, self-injury, marital or family conflict, grief and despair as well as other concerns, there is hope. My education began at Saint Vincent College with my Bachelor of Psychology degree, next onto The University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work for my Master of Social Work degree. I received my initial license in 1994 (LSW) and my LCSW license in the state of Pennsylvania in 1996. I am trained in EMDR treatment.
"We talk straight, right?" was a quote my father would say when he knew myself or one of my siblings needed help. It meant, "I'm here, it is safe to be honest and I will do whatever I can to help you but I need to know the truth". My goal is to create that same atmosphere, so when you are ready to be honest, I'm here.
