As a mental health counselor my goal is to help clients look at life’s challenges with a different perspective. Some people may feel like what they’re doing worked in the past but don’t understand why it is not working now. My job is to help adults, children, and families to take a look at these struggles through a different lens and learn some new ways of tackling them. My passion is to help clients feel more empowered and know what to do when faced with difficult behavior, anxiety, or struggles handling strong emotions.
As a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and behavior analyst, I am uniquely able to help with difficulties faced by clients with an Autism Spectrum Diagnosis. I also work to help those who have experienced painful circumstances in their past to overcome them and move forward with their lives. I am trained in various techniques, like ACT, CBT, and EMDR.*
I am not currently providing ABA services or practicing under my LBA license/BCBA credential. ** Therapies like CBT and EMDR are not strictly behavior-analytic in nature and are not covered by my BACB credential. The therapies listed above are evidence based and in my scope of practice under my LMHC license.
