My name is Sherri O’Lonergan, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and I like to use a client centered approach using an integrative model with the use of cognitive behavioral, internal family systems and somatic tools to help ease the nervous system so the true healing came begin. I have experience treating depression, anxiety, trauma, divorce, family issues and more.
The most common approaches I employ are cognitive behavioral, emotional freedom technique (tapping), internal family systems and somatic interventions. The clients I work with are generally struggling with anxiety and depression with a lot of stress. I feel comfortable treating depression, anxiety, trauma, school related stress or work stress, PTSD.
I like to ask clients to set a few goals for the start of therapy even if it’s just to reduce some symptoms or help process through something difficult. We’ll review goals periodically to ensure we are meeting the targets and/or to set new goals as therapy progresses.
