I am a Licensed Professional Counselor LPC, and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)in the state of Virginia. Informed by 30 years of clinical training that began in 1995, I received extensive training and supervision in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), as well as Traditional Psychoanalytical and Psychodynamic Therapy. In addition to individual treatment modalities I have worked with couples using both Emotionally Focused Therapy and the Gottman method.
Areas of expertise are with adolescents, adults and couples who are dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, traumatic experiences, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, adverse life experiences, life changes, grief and loss, career concerns, relationship concerns and premarital counseling.
