My name is Sherri Halucha and I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I received my Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology at National University in 1998 and I've been working as a therapist for the past 25 years. I felt called to be a helper at a very young age and feel honored to help others as my life's work. I specialize in helping people in their relationships. I have extensive experience helping people manage symptoms of depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder. I also have experience assisting others navigate the journey of autism as I am the parent of a young adult son with autism and have learned much along the way.
I use empathy, active listening and cognitive behavioral techniques in therapy to help others gain insight into how their thoughts and feelings impact their behavior and choices. I explore family of origin issues as needed to help increase awareness into patterns and dynamics in relationships. I help others with communication and conflict resolution skills.
Therapy is a place for clients to safely share their life experiences. Clients can expect to feel heard and validated from the very beginning. I am a warm and empathic person and strive to help others feel comfortable. I often use handouts and visual aids as tools to help with communication and conflict resolution.
