My name is Sherika Thomas-Miller, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Montgomery, AL, and working with clients statewide via telehealth or in-office. I work with adolescents to Geriatric and specialize in stress, depression, and anxiety using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help my clients make progress throughout their therapeutic journey.
I have found that my approach is a good fit for young adults and geriatric as it assists them with the challenges of life. I work with clients to navigate through the challenges by building the necessary skills needed to allow clients to use them to feel comfort and develop a positive well-being.
My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client I work with. I incorporate a Holistic approach as it helps the client understand how each aspect of their well-being is connected. I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance Commitment Therapy as both modalities help me, and the client obtain an understanding of their reality.
