Twenty-two years providing counseling services to people has taught me much about us as humans: how much we have in common and how much each of us has a unique story. I take great delight in helping people tell their story and make a new script for their future. We work together to foster healing from past hurts, to learn new skills for self-care and to build strength in those all-important relationships in clients' lives. We can work on short-term problem-solving with a coaching style or deeper healing therapy.
My years of training and experience include Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples, Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma, healthy lifestyle counseling, faith-based counseling, anger management skill training, domestic violence, and rape crisis counseling. I am passionate about helping couples recover from relational trauma.
I am comfortable with all ages from 12 to 85. My own background as a military child living in other cultures has equipped me to work well with the special concerns of military personnel, their families and those of different cultures.
