I believe that it is necessary to address the physical and emotional aspects of one's self. Therapy is a partnership; it is also a journey that we will share together. I consider myself a very compassionate person, but in therapy I am also very active within the process. I hope that my patients will be open and honest with their issues and needs. Trust and honesty is the basis for therapy to be successful.
I tend to see patients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, medical issues and everyday life stressors. I also enjoy doing work surrounding infertility issues and adoption. I do treat older adolescents, individuals, couples, and families.
After 25 years of practicing therapy, I now have the luxury of a home/office. My patients report to me that they enjoy the privacy and the more comfortable atmosphere. It helps to decrease the initial anxiety about entering therapy.
