With over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, I work with a wide range of human difficulties. From individuals struggling with anxiety or depression, to young adults trying to find their way or having obsessive/compulsive issues, I believe my work is to provide a nonjudgmental environment in which to find solutions. Throughout the years I have trained in a wide spectrum of modalities, ranging from cognitive-behavioral therapy, to attachment theory and advanced work with the subconscious mind. And sometimes just talking about an issue in a safe environment, giving it words, allows the next step towards a happier life.
I focus on restructuring belief systems and self-sabotaging patterns, as well new communication skills. I believe that most difficulties are based in unconscious patterns which can be uncovered and changed. I have trained extensively in Voice Dialogue, a means of accessing specific unconscious patterns which create unnecessary suffering.
Many people believe that therapy is a sign of moral weakness. But we all, as human beings, need help and support sometimes. Choosing the right therapist is an important process, and often the hardest part is making the first contact. (Also please note that while I have a Ph.D. in biological sciences, I am not a Clinical Psychologist, but an LPC).
