I love helping individuals navigate issues with perfectionism, feelings of "not good enough," sexual or gender identity, and the exhaustion, mental load, and loss of self that often occurs in motherhood. I have great compassion for those going through unexpected changes and take a collaborative and strength-based approach to helping people reclaim their lives. I have particular strengths in helping individuals manage day-to-day stressors, communicate feelings, honor their limits and value themselves. I have my PhD in counseling psychology with a specialization in sport psychology and did my postdoctoral fellowship in gender and sexuality at Stanford University. I am a strong LGBTQ+ ally and write letters of support for clients seeking gender affirming procedures or surgeries. I have passion for maternal mental health and providing group therapy.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, a Mom, and an athlete, I have great compassion for individuals who have minority identities and pride myself on how I customize my approach to fit each individual's unique identities. Real Talk Motherhood Group Therapy
Motherhood includes joy, exhaustion, and everything in between—and many moms feel isolated in the midst of it. This group offers a safe, welcoming space for honest connection and shared vulnerability, grounded in the understanding that none of us are alone in these struggles. Using evidence-based approaches such as Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), participants will build a practical set of skills to manage emotions, reduce self-criticism, set healthy boundaries, and respond to stress with greater balance and compassion.
