Clients that choose to work with me can expect a counselor that is invested in their healing process, a counselor that offers empathetic understanding of issues and events in their life, and someone who provides and safe place to voice and process their emotions.
When I began my Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Xavier University, I already knew that I wanted to work with survivors of trauma, rape, and those who suffer from PTSD/c-PTSD. As a result, I have studied throughout my program with this in mind. I have continued my research of treatment options outside of school through reading and other media.
As a survivor of violence and trauma myself, I know the darkness and pain that can come from living though such events. Because of my own experiences I can offer unique insights and support to those who have been through trauma of there own.
