Shellie Gravitt, MA, LMFT, Marriage & Family Therapist in Seattle
I specialize in treating adults dealing with ADHD, OCD, anxiety, loneliness, depression and disappointment. I'm passionate about working with people who are painfully shy/sensitive and who deal with perfectionism. Disarming shame and self-blame, while facing fears, allows highly sensitive individuals to thrive. I have a special interest in working with males who are disappointed with life and feel as if they have been excluded from the promise of success and prosperity. Additionally, clarifying values and strengths, in order to make desired changes in one's life, is a driving force in my work with all clients.
I have specialized training in using Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples. This approach allows couples to move away from painful interactions and towards connection: strengthening bonds. Additionally, I treat trauma and childhood wounds with Lifespan Integration (LI) and EFT for Individuals. Both are transformative in alleviating trauma symptoms.
People thrive when they feel heard, loved, and respected. Everyone is capable of having meaningful and satisfying relationships. Making desired changes is possible for all. I provide a safe space for exploration of one's own needs and desires that promotes long-lasting change.
