My goal is to help you to live life more from your authentic sense of self. The work involves slowing things down, so as to be able to see patterns you might not be aware of that are negatively affecting your life. We collaborate to increase your awareness of them, and then I support you to gently, often incrementally, work through them. This results in increased access to your insights, wisdom, and greater discernment. When the insights come from yourself, they tend to last. This also strengthens your authenticity.
I primarily work using EMDR with a somatic (body) focus. Increasing awareness is a main focus, seeing where and how your body holds painful or unhelpful patterns. Wherever possible, I support you to gradually process the emotions and sensations through toward resolution.
The intention is to help you see yourself more clearly, and with self-compassion. And to live a more full, rich, embodied life.
