My ideal client is the individual or couple who is ready to be transparent and honest, to learn about and work on painful issues, ready to confront problem thinking, communication, behavior, family of origin dynamics, personal habits, wounds, and in a consistently supportive environment. Having practiced in many settings over 3 decades, I’m well trained and very experienced. I’m also human!, intuitive and empathetic. Clients tell me I’m gentle but strong, exceptionally warm, authentic, keenly perceptive, direct, and a consistently safe place for the expression of their feelings and thoughts, mistakes and triumphs.
I work with those wanting to explore and overcome obstacles in their lives, distressed marriages, depressed and/or anxious adults, and am known as a specialist with adolescents experiencing emotional/behavioral issues. I am experienced with/offer both Christian/Biblical and Clinical secular counseling. I use reality-based, positive psychology, and neuro-psychological transformational methods.
