Shelia D. Duncan
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW-C, LICSW, LCSW
Are you a woman who is looking for mental health support and therapy but you are not able to come to an office due to a busy schedule, health condition, or difficulty in finding the right therapist in proximity to where you live? Do you feel like you are not where you should be in life? Are you beating up on yourself for poor life choices? Has life knocked you down and are you trying to get back up again with a new focus? Are you distant from God and need some spiritual guidance to reconnect with your first love?
I'm passionate about working with women, especially African American and Christian Women. I work with women who struggles with their faith, low self-esteem, poor body image, depression, anxiety, menopause issues, feelings of guilty, consequences of poor relationship choices, hurt by “Church folks”, angry with God, life-transitions and self-forgiveness.
I provide online psychotherapy and Christian Counseling. The modalities that I use are Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Solution Focus Brief Therapy. By applying these therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
