About
I am passionate about walking alongside individuals from all walks of life who may be struggling with the effects of physical or relational trauma, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, and grief/loss. Often times it is hard to articulate what we are feeling, so my goal as a therapist is to provide a safe space where individuals and families can feel seen, heard, and valued. I believe that greater awareness, coping skills, and the ability to own our stories are powerful tools for healing. My favorite part about this work is seeing individuals realize their strengths and capabilities.
My approach to therapy is holistic, trauma informed, and attachment based. I utilize EMDR as a way to help clients work through difficult memories that may be influencing current belief system. I also have experience implementing play therapy and creativity in session when working with younger populations.
I believe that a healthy therapeutic relationship is essential to the healing process. Because of this I offer a free phone consultation allowing you to put a voice with the name before we begin our work together. Visit shelbysandlin.com to set up your phone consultation today.
