Sheilu Satyapriya, LPC-SI, MFT-SI, MS, Pre-Licensed Professional in Henderson
" ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS "; Life happens and sometimes we find ourselves trapped in a situation, constricted by circumstantial shackles, not knowing how to break free. We need to remind ourselves, that life is a marathon, not a sprint; getting stuck is not the problem, not being able to get out is. We realize, something needs to change, but change is hard. Rather than letting fear become the organizing principle of life, I provide you with a safe, judgment-free, friendly environment to help you take back the reigns of life, empower you and infuse the spirit of possibility thinking.
Grounded in the person-centered approach, I tend to use CBT, Motivational Interviewing and Solutions focused approaches to best serve my clients, always striving to see the big picture. My philosophy is deeply embedded in positive psychology and coming from the East, yoga, meditation and holistic approaches are second nature.
I am bilingual, Hindi being my second language. Multicultural at heart, you will find connecting with me easy. Counseling is an active, collaborative process, requiring participation and readiness of both parties to overcome any hurdle. I am here for you; if you think you are ready, let this journey begin.

Sheilu Satyapriya's Groups

Divorce Support Group

This is an open group providing support from the community members with a therapist on board to help through the process without ever having to feel alone. The purpose is to have someone to talk to, a place to express your emotions without being judged and to ultimately gather the strength and tools needed to go through the transition while feeling supported. There is a lot of strength in harnessing pain the right way. This group is an opportunity to allow thoughts to be processed and resolved, ultimately taking the load off the shoulders. Call (702) 6164900 for more information.
