I have been doing therapy for 40 years. My client age range is generally 18 and over. Working with mindfulness meditation and cognitive therapy is important. Also, I bring aspects of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual into my work with clients - for a holistic approach - treating the whole person. My practice was located in Geneva, NY from 1989 until 2016. In 2016, I decided to change my office location closer to my home area of Canandaigua.
As a social worker, my education and training has lead me to focus on all aspects of a person's life ~ identifying all areas of personal stress and difficulties. The initial assessment is one of the most important aspects of the work we will do together - to clearly identify the problem.
Being a life-long learner enables me to bring aspects of my own life experience to the therapy session. My years of life have brought forward a good level of wisdom and understanding.
