A therapist for the last 23 years, I spent the twenty preceding years in large firm law practice in SF, DC and NY. At almost. the last minute, i grabbed hold of my life, and turned it upside down. This turned out very well. Now, every day I get to delight in working with people in a frank and open way, with the aim of changing their lives for the better. Life is difficult — there’s no way around that. But when you and your therapist are a good fit, the therapy relationship can expand your world, deepen your knowledge of yourself, improve your relationships, and release you to a life you can enjoy more fully and freely.
I have worked with people from varied backgrounds, struggling with many different psychological/emotional problems. By the good fortune of some unique pre- and post-grad training, I have become what people now call a ‘trauma-informed’ therapist. I enjoy working with trauma patients — but no more than i enjoy working with the others who come my way.
I offer an initial face-to-face 45-minute consultation at 50% of my usual fee, because I think everyone should be able to check out a few therapists before settling on one. If you want to explore working with me, just call the number provided by Psychology Today, and we'll find a time to talk.
