Are you facing challenging parenting, family, relational, or spiritual issues? Navigating life during these times can feel discouraging, lonely, and hopeless. Healthy relationships are a vital part of life. My passion lies in assisting individuals in building healthy relationships. In counseling, we work together to identify the current issue(s), set goals and practical coping and problem-solving strategies that address the presenting issue. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment therapy, and reality therapy. I also offer Christ-centered counseling. This integrative approach links faith in Christ with biblical truths and psychological principles to address the current issue.
My clinical experience includes parent coaching and working with parents and adolescents experiencing relationship challenges. I am also skilled in the areas of attachment, depression and anxiety, stress management, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), communication skills, conflict resolution, grief/loss, divorce, separation, and general adjustment issues.
I am a passionate therapist. This passion was born from my 17 years of fostering children in NoVA which taught me the significance of empathy, patience, and supportive relationships. Challenges were inevitable for our children and us. I'm thankful for this experience; it enriches the therapist - client relationship.
